The senior government class was honored to welcome Oregon Secretary of State Shemia Fagan to their class today. Secretary Fagan attended Dufur School during her elementary years, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed having her visit the class and talk about her childhood, career, and her role in Oregon's government. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit, Secretary Fagan!




Yesterday, Dufur students were visited by Jake and Jonathan from the SWAT and Crowd Management divisions of Oregon State Police. Students learned about the aspects of the job, and got to look at and try on gear!

Dufur School will be offering daycare this Friday, April 15th from 8:00-3:20. Please email kwhitley@dufur.k12.or.us if you would like to sign your child up. There will be no bussing services provided for daycare and students must be transported to the school by their parents.

Due to heavy snowfall in and around Dufur, Dufur School will be closed today, with no virtual learning.
There will be an informational meeting with Coach Morris for all 2022 High School Volleyball Players on Monday Evening at 7:00 pm via Zoom. The link will be on the Dufur School District website!

Easter Grams can be ordered now, and will be delivered to the student of your choice! Grams can be purchased at the front office from March 28th-April 8th. Each gram is $5.00. The Easter Grams include 3 filled eggs that contain toys, candy, and bubbles.

The Ranger Pride Education Foundation recently received a generous donation of $ 5,000.00 dollars from the Weidner Family Charitable Trust. This donation will assist in the development of the Ranger Heritage Agriculture Fund. Thank you for your donation!

Dufur School Student Council members made friends with a group of flamingos migrating south to warmer weather, and they need a place to stay! For $5, you can have them land for the night in a friend’s yard (within Dufur city limits). If you would not like to host the flamingos, you can pay $10 for flock insurance! Contact Mrs. Whitley if you would like to flock a friend, purchase insurance, or with any questions you might have! Classrooms are also available to flock.

Our 2nd through 5th grades got to participate in Amy Gray's art workshop this week. This was made possible through Art in Education of the Gorge. The students did print making.
