A special thanks to PowderPure for giving Dufur middle school students an inside view of how food powders are processed and manufactured. PowderPure produces nutrient-dense fruit and vegetable powders using Rapid Zone Drying, which allows food to retain nutrients during the drying process.

DHS art students recently finished self-chosen acrylic paintings on canvas. Some used online tutorials to walk them through each step while others created their paintings entirely using their own imaginations. You can see students' artwork displayed in the trophy case across from the gym in the main hall!

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Child abuse occurs at every socioeconomic level, across ethnic and cultural lines, within all religions, and at all levels of education. A report of child abuse is made every 10 seconds. SafeSpace Children's Advocacy Center of the Gorge is a single point of contact for child abuse victims in the Columbia Gorge to get the help they need. Please check out this video that highlights the important work that they do. https://www.safespacecac.org/?pgid=kod51imm-189b907f-6d2c-4ae9-8c13-0df3360fff8d
