Congratulations to Maddie Dollarhide for being named the 22-23 FFA State Secretary!
This week Mrs. Wilson's high school anatomy class engaged in a very educational, hands-on dissection of a deer heart to learn about the anatomy of a heart, lungs, and trachea.

Dufur School wants to remind parents and community members about the upcoming presentations of Missoula Children's Theater Alice in Wonderland. Two performances will take place in the lower gym: one tonight at 6:00, and one on Saturday, 3/19 at noon. Admission for adults is $5.00; Dufur students will be admitted free of cost.
Professional watercolor artist Melissa Lee spent two days with the high school art class showing them how to paint a watercolor reflection scene. Their results were all so unique and beautiful!

Thank you to Sergeant Thomas for reading to Mrs. Miller’s 2nd grade.

Sgt. Thomas came in last week to speak with the 7th grade about social media safety, harassment and appropriate use. He also talked to sophomores about drugs and police job duties.
Amanda Cleveland and her therapy dog Kaia visited the school today. Both staff and students enjoyed the special visitors.

A reminder that the Missoula Children's Theatre is in Dufur School this week to present "Alice in Wonderland". Rehearsals begin today, 3/14 at 3:30 pm.
All students K-12 are eligible to participate.

Dufur High School students were able to learn more about how to stay safe and protect their privacy online thanks to Rachel Visser, the Prevention Education Manager from KIDS Center! We asked Rachel to come and work with our students about internet safety and they had a great time and had great conversations! Next month Rachel will be working with our Middle School students! Thanks Rachel!
Had a great day working with the Jerri Walker DePriest Board of Trustees, discussing the potential of multi year scholarships! Go Rangers!

Last Friday welding students welcomed Joe Harvey into the shop to learn about the importance of having the right flow of electricity for the right tool and the process of rewiring a plug back to the breaker box. We would like to give a huge shout out to Platt for donating the materials needed and to Mr. Harvey for donating his time. It was a great experience!

Mrs. Bale's 1st grade class had a special guest to read to them this week. Deputy Ray Thomas came and spent some time with them, and it was awesome!

Parents please feel free to join the Jerri Walker DePriest scholarship presentation that seniors are attending today. Due to technology, this meeting will not be recorded.
