Another day at Dufur School, construction nearing an end!
The school will be open from 9-12am on Friday April 3rd and from 2-6pm on Monday April 6th for HS and ML students to pick up URGENT school supplies and personal items from lockers. Please practice social distancing. Do not linger or congregate in any areas.
All students that ride the red bus, (The Dalles Route) can pick up educational packets and lunch at Calvary Baptist Church tomorrow, April 2, between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm.

Hello Families,
We are living in strange and stressful times. In an effort to stay connected with students and families, we have created The Counseling Connection Newsletter. You can expect articles, activity suggestions, along with other resources related to social emotional learning. Our first edition will be available tomorrow, April 1st on the website and hard copies will be coming home with work packets.

Dufur Families- Teachers will be reaching out via electronic communication (email, Remind, etc.) to gauge how best to deliver supplemental learning opportunities to students. Please respond to teacher email or call the school to let us know how best to work with your student(s).
Families needing a device to check out during this period of home enrichment will be able to check one out tomorrow, March 31 from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Dufur School front office. Teachers will be communicating with families this week providing educational enrichment activities, this will continue until we return to school. In addition, the district website will have the enrichment opportunities for each class as well.

SAT update: SAT's scheduled outside of Dufur School are being canceled. If you signed up for one of those dates, please visit CollegeBoard for information. The SAT at Dufur on 4/14 is canceled. Continue to prep by visiting https://www.khanacademy.org/sat for free SAT Practice.
Governor Brown has ordered all schools closed until April 28. As information becomes available on all the details of that order, we will communicate them with you.
Gisela Ayala Echeverria of One Community Health sent the following updated information- Due to school closures, the OCH Art scholarship deadline has been move to April 1. Submissions can be dropped off at any OCH location or digitally sent to: artcontest@onecommunityhealth.org
Dufur School will be providing boxed lunches beginning on March 16 through March 20 at the following locations: Dufur Christian Church at noon, Ramsey Creek Grange at noon, Lone Pine In Lieu Site entryway at 11:30 am, Celilo Village at noon. Lunches will be available beginning on March 30 at the same times and locations until school is back in session.

Dufur School, Celilo & Dufur Sprouts Preschool, Dufur Public Library and all associate events and activities will be closed/canceled from March 14th to March 31st. Students are expected to return to school on April 1st.
Dufur School has decided to proactively begin suspending events that bring large groups of students, adults, and community members together. Suspension of non-essential school-based activities begins immediately, effective March 12- April 10th. Athletic teams will continue to practice, but all extra-curricular activities including athletic competitions will be suspended indefinitely. The after school program will not be suspended at this time. MCT will rehearse tonight, but public performances have been canceled.
