Congratulations to the Dufur Ranger Varsity Girls Basketball team for being named the February 2026 OSAA Team of the Month!
Last night, eight members of the Class of 2028 were inducted into Dufur High School's chapter of the National Honor Society. These new members join 17 current juniors and seniors who were previously inducted as sophomores. Students in NHS must demonstrate four pillars of excellence: academics, leadership, character, and service. Congratulations to new members Ellie Brock, Jacey Calloway, Eric Carrillo, Noah Coleman, Alma Compo, Emmy Egeland, Alexandria Olson, and Alexis Ward!
Ms. Susan, from OSU Extension, joined the 3rd Grade class this week! During her 3-day visit, she taught students about the Sphero device and how to program it. Our class had a chance to practice drawing routes their Sphero would take, learned how to drive the device, and eventually applied what they learned to make their Sphero go through an obstacle course! Thank you to Ms. Susan for all the fun and engaging activities!
NACD has announced the winners of the 2025 National Poster Contest. Oregon has a 3rd place winner in the grade 7-9 category! Congratulation to Daisy Proctor from Wasco County for winning 3rd place . This is Kristin Whitley, Co-superintendent at Dufur School. Today I enjoyed having a sidekick, 6th grader Josie Wahler, who was Superintendent for a day! This day was made possible by the Jerri Walker DePriest Memorial Endowment Fund. Today Josie helped me with a campus safety assessment, staff observations, grant management, and she made some great recommendaitons to my cabinet leadership team. Thanks so much for your hard work, Josie!

Congratulations to the Rangers on their win last night over CS Lewis Academy. They advance to a second round game on Saturday against Union. The game will be played at Dufur at 2:00 pm. Go Rangers!
