Good luck to Ranger juniors Zeb Stelzer and new school record holder Ale Meza tomorrow as they compete at the Tri-valley cross country district meet. They are both vying for a trip to the OSAA State Championship meet in Eugene on November 8th!

The Dufur School District School Board is committed to providing the best possible support for our teachers. We believe that supporting our teachers is one of the most important things we can do to ensure the success of our students.
To help with this goal, we are forming a new, short-term Instructional Support Advisory Committee. We are seeking parents, guardians, and local community members who are passionate about public education to lend their valuable perspective.
Scope of the Committee
This is a "task force" style committee with a clear and focused goal. The work will include:
Reviewing feedback on current instructional challenges.
Providing a parent and community perspective on district resources and support systems.
Identifying barriers that impact the teaching and learning environment.
Developing a set of practical, actionable recommendations for the School Board.
Time Commitment
This will be a fast-paced, focused effort.
Meetings: The committee will hold two (and no more than three) working meetings during November.
Goal: To prepare and present a formal set of recommendations at the regular School Board meeting in December 2025.
Your perspective as a community member is crucial as we work to make Dufur School a place where teachers feel supported and students thrive.
If you are interested in serving on this committee, please contact Tim Fain (Board Chair) at tim4dsd2@gmail.com by Wednesday, November 5th. In your email, please include a brief sentence or two about why you are interested in joining. Here's a link to give input and show interest: https://forms.gle/BQzS4nk9H5ybq2XSA
Thank you for considering this opportunity to support our school.
Sincerely,
Tim Fain Board Chair, Dufur School District"

PortraitMasters will be here on October 23rd. Students may have their picture taken if they missed the first picture day, or have retakes done. We will start at 9:00 am, and we should be done by about 11 am.
If you are having a retake done, please have your student bring back their original package with a note of what you want to see different in the retake so our photographers can fix the issues from the first photo. This will also ensure that you will get your package reprinted.
