The Oregon Department of Education (ODE), the Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC), and Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) are collaborating to broadcast the importance of registering for kindergarten in the spring. When families register in the spring, they are more likely to attend kindergarten orientations and summer programs, access school and community resources, and experience a positive start to school. If you need to register your student for Kindergarten and live in the Dufur School District, please call (541)467-2509 and ask for Bonnie Lepinski.

Mrs. Gratiot's 4th grade class celebrated the end of their poetry unit with a Poetry Slam! To set the mood, we dimmed the lights, had a spot light, used a microphone, played coffee house music, snapped instead of clapped, and enjoyed blueberry muffins and hot chocolate while students shared the wonderful poems they wrote! We have some great poets here in 4th grade!

Congratulations to the Ranger Boys Basketball Team on a tremendous season. Although they came up short against Crosshill Christian last night, the season just completed was inspiring to all that had the pleasure of watching the Rangers perform. The grit, determination and desire displayed all season long was commendable! Go Rangers!

We spent the day in Salem at the State Capitol on Tuesday, visiting Sen. Hansell and Rep. Smith. We were able to share some of the exciting things that are currently happening at Dufur School; including our School Based Health Center that will be opening in Spring/Summer of 2024 and our CTE programming. Molly Cochenour had the honor on going on the House Floor with Rep. Smith and was able to practice her putting game at his office!
