The Jerri Walker DePriest Memorial Endowment Fund received a generous $ 19,157.67 donation from the Everett (EE) and Betty Marvel Trust this morning. Everett and Betty were long time members of the Dufur Community and were always big supporters of the Dufur School District. Everett graduated from Dufur High School in 1940. Dufur graduates will benefit from their generosity forever!
7th graders used dampened bleeding tissue paper to "paint" the backgrounds of their images. Many steps involved in these masterpieces!
Dufur School, in conjunction with Columbia Gorge Community College, will be hosting a Federal Financial Aid Workshop for Seniors on Monday October 21st at 6:00pm. Come learn how to fill out your financial aid forms online. Location TBD.
7th grade students completed fantastic crazy hair portraits during their study of line in art.
On Friday October 18 the Dufur School District will be celebrating the completion of the football field renovation, thanking the district voters that made the project possible, recognizing the workers that made the project a reality, as well as recognizing all who have ever played Ranger Football. The festivities will begin at 5:00 pm, and continue throughout the evening. All are invited to participate in this special event. A hosted dinner will begin at 5:00 pm and will continue through halftime of the football game, which kicks off at 7:00 pm vs Pilot Rock. A full schedule of the evening's activities will be shared soon.
Dufur School be hosting the annual Bi-Mart Flu Shot Clinic on Monday October 14 in the school cafeteria, beginning at 3:30 pm. The clinic is open to all community members.

Ranger sports today: The HS Football team plays Enterprise at 3:30 p.m. at Sherman County High School. JV & JV2 Volleyball plays Klickitat/Glenwood at Dufur starting at 5 p.m. GO RANGERS!

The fourth and fifth grades kicked off the fall harvest by picking, shucking, boiling and eating the corn that was planted last spring by the first and second graders.
Progress continues on the building project at Dufur School. The lower gym will have AC next week! The parking lot and bus turnaround area's are functioning well for our students and staff.
The Dufur Food Pantry is back to it's regular schedule, Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Visitors should enter from Food Pantry door on 6th street.
The Dufur After School Program will begin Monday, September 9. It runs Monday through Thursday from 3:30-6:30 for 3rd-12th grade students.
