2nd grade spent Thursday meeting their pen pals from Maupin that they’ve been writing to all year. They played in the park, ate lunch and played kickball together! We look forward to continuing this yearly tradition for years to come with our neighbors to the South!!




The stage is set for this evening’s Dufur High School Awards Night, featuring the recognition of the Class of 2025 and presentation of scholarship awards. Hosted by the DHS National Honor Society, the event celebrates the outstanding achievements of our students throughout the year.
Doors will open at 5:30 PM, with the ceremony beginning at 6:00 PM. Cake and punch will be served. We invite you to join us in honoring the hard work and accomplishments of our students.


The DHS Class of 2025 will have a parade through town tomorrow, May 28th, to celebrate their last day as students of Dufur High School. Please gather on the traditional parade route through Dufur to wish them well!

The Ranger's Track and Field team ended their regular season with many great performances at their District meet this last week. Congratulation to those athletes who qualified for the OSAA State Championship Meet: Ellie Brock -200, 400; Chase Richards - High Jump,4x100; Zeb Stelzer - 3000, 4x100; Bryson Cates - 4x100; and Noah Coleman - 4x100




The After School Program Dufur Campus ended their last week with a lot of STEM activities, including Magna-tile tower building and solar-powered car building. It has been a great year, and we are grateful for our After School Program staff for making this program successful!


Dufur Families, school will not be in session on Friday, May 23rd or Monday, May 26th. We will see students again on Tuesday, May 27th. Have a wonderful, long holiday weekend!

Last Thursday, Mrs. Welk's class and Ms. Ford's class went to the pool to celebrate the 2024-2025 school year!

As the school year winds down for the Class of 2025, one final class project was to go up to D Hill to refresh the white paint on the rocks and boards that form the "D" and the "25". Thank you to Dan Wilson for donating the paint!




🐠🦀🐬🐳🐙Mrs. Welk’s first grade class was an aquarium on Friday! Students got an opportunity to research an ocean animal and share their information with Mrs.Bales's class and their families!





Congratulations to Addie U and Grace D who are representing the Dufur Rangers in the Junior High Meet of Champions today. Addie will be throwing javelin and Grace will compete in shot put. Go Rangers!
Kindergarten got to have a hay cutting demonstration from Mr. Ashbrook this week! They loved playing in the hay and watching him make passes! Many were saying it was the coolest thing they have ever seen!





Today is the final day in the mid-level three part workshop with Artist in Residence Amy Gray. They have collectively created a beautiful piece of art!

Congratulations to Tygh Timinsky on her third straight Special District 6-4A/3A/2A/1A District Golf Individual Championship! Tygh shot a 12 over 152 for the two day tournament at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Baker City. Tygh advances to play in the OSAA OnPoint Community Credit Union State Golf Championships at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis on May 19 & 20. Great job Tygh!



Mr. Talley’s fifth graders recently worked with Ms. Katie’s preschool class to make plaster of Paris paver stones.








The midlevel Greenhouse students will be hosting our annual Plant Sale this Friday starting 6th period. It will be from 1:30-6:00 p.m. in the upper building fenced area. We have a lot of tomatoes, zinnias, marigolds, sunflowers, pansies and some random vegetable starts (cucumbers, zucchini squash and others that have just barely sprouted) Staff is welcome to come, bring your class if you like, and see what we've grown! Community member are invited to com shop as well.
There will also be a small animal petting zoo inside the fenced area (bunnies, chicks, and baby goats!)



Dufur Athletic Deparment is seeking a High School Head Boys Basketball Coach. To apply please submit a letter of interest, current resume, and a completed Dufur School District application.

Recently, both third grade classes went to Maryhill Museum for a field trip. We learned some history about the museum, viewed some art, and made our own sculptures. Thank you Sarah Fain and our chaperones for making this event possible!




These students participated in the Paint Night at Celilo last Wednesday for the Indigenous Little Free Library.
The ribbon-cutting event for this second and Indigenous Little Free Library is this Wednesday, May 14th at 6:00 at Dufur School by the current Little Free Library. After the ribbon-cutting activities, we will host a Title 1 Parent Review Meeting at the same location. If students and families would like bus transportation to and from Celilo, please contact Mrs. Beeson, Title 1 Director
