Student registration is now open for the 2025-26 school year for students at Dufur School. Parents should use their ParentVue account to complete the yearly registration for their children. If you are new to the Dufur School District, please use the “REGISTER NEW STUDENT” button on our website homepage.
To register a student at Dufur School you must be a resident of the Dufur School District (which means you physically reside within the boundaries of the Dufur School District), or you must have an Interdistrict Release signed by your home district and the Dufur School District Superintendent. As part of the registration process you will be asked for proof of residency. Please see Dufur School District Policy JEC-AR District Registration/Admissions for guidance.
We will be using FinalForms this year to handle all extra-curricular registration and requirements. Please see these instructions to create your parent account. Please note that your child will use their school-issued email account when setting up FinalForms accounts.
If you have any questions or need assistance in the registration process, please reach out to Bonnie Lepinski, Dufur School Registrar at beverson@dufur.k12.or.us.

The Dufur School District extends its deepest gratitude to two exceptional outgoing Board of Directors members whose combined decades of service have shaped our educational community. Robert Wallace, who dedicated 16 years to the Board, brought unwavering commitment and thoughtful leadership to every decision affecting our students and schools. His steady presence and collaborative approach helped guide the district through numerous challenges and achievements. Stan Ashbrook's remarkable 40-year tenure on the Board represents an extraordinary legacy of service that spans multiple generations of Dufur families. His institutional knowledge, wisdom, and passionate advocacy for educational excellence have been cornerstones of our district's success. Both Robert and Stan have given generously of their time, energy, and expertise, making countless sacrifices to ensure that Dufur students receive the quality education they deserve. Their contributions will continue to benefit our school and community for years to come, and while their presence on the Board will be deeply missed, their impact on the Dufur School District will endure as a testament to the power of dedicated public service in education.

Jason Ruby (Kindergarten) & Peyton Brock (5th Grade) had the most reading growth for the 2024-25 school year! These students won bikes, helmets, and locks donated from the Masons in The Dalles, as well as $10 gift cards to Klindt's Bookstore in The Dalles from the Ranger Pride Education Foundation.

Ms. Dawkins' 3rd Graders went on a field trip to Nichols Art Glass this week! Students were shown how Mr. Nichols makes his artwork and learned the importance of persistence when trying new techniques. We had a great time watching him demonstrate how to make a flower and an antler (Mrs. Fain was even able to help him add some small pieces of glass to the bottom of the antler).

The Class of 2026 celebrated their last day of school with breakfast in the parking lot before school started today. They're looking forward to a great senior year!

Parents, this is just a reminder that today is early release for students at 1 pm. Have a wonderful summer!
Mrs. Mead's 5th grade class is rounding out the year by finishing their Renaissance unit and writing biographies about famous artists. They experienced drawing like Michelangelo on the Sistine Chapel ceiling, under their desks. Also, students have been reviewing the end of their geometry unit and love working in teams during a room walk activity. This group is ready for middle school!

A huge thank you to Andy Nichols at Nichols Art Glass for inviting 2nd grade to watch the process of blowing glass on Friday. His artwork is fascinating and it was so fun to watch the process of glass blowing ornaments and he even made a leaf and flower in front of them! They followed it up with a trip to Sorosis Park for lunch!
