We will be having Lifetouch here on January 20th and 21st to take school pictures. "A" group students will have their pictures taken on Wednesday and "B" group student will be on Thursday. All Distance Learning only students are welcome to come for pictures as well, just call the school to get a time to bring your child for the photo.

In close consultation with the North Central Public Health District, Dufur School District has made the decision to continue comprehensive distance learning until Tuesday, January 19. We are aware of the challenges that distance learning creates for families in these uncertain times. However, each student, staff member and family's health and safety is our top priority.
This week the Dufur Community Food Pantry is open on Wednesday from 3-6pm. The pantry staff will also distribute Farm to Family food boxes tomorrow at 11 am at Dufur School.
In lieu of a winter concert this year due to distance learning, Mr. Andre worked very hard to make this amazing Christmas sing-along for Dufur students and families. Enjoy!

On Wednesday, December 16th at 1:00 pm, Jefferson Greene of the Warm Springs Tribe will present to Dufur School via a Zoom presentation. Jefferson is a cultural artist who teaches language, legends, song, and dance. Please join us for this great opportunity! Contact your teacher or Mrs. Anderson for the Zoom link.

Staff will vote on a winner each day, and there will be prizes for the winners that will be quarantined and then handed out to winners once we return to campus.
Dufur School will again be delivering lunches during Comprehensive Distance Learning. If you are in Dufur, you can pick up daily lunches at Dufur Christian Church at 11:30 am. We will deliver weekly boxes to the families that received them during the last delivery time. Box delivery will be on Tuesday 12/8/2020. If you didn't receive a box last time, but would like one this time, please email josie.turner@dufur.k12.or.us by 9:00 am on Monday 12/7/2020.
Today, December 5th, we received notification that multiple Dufur School students have tested positive for COVID-19. After consulting with the North Central Public Health Department, we have made the decision to return to Comprehensive Distance Learning through December 18. Please see the "News" section of our website for more details.
Dufur’s National Honor Society is hosting its annual food drive this year from December 4th through December 16th. The collected food will be distributed to families in the community. Students can bring non-perishable food on their school day and place it in their class’s collection bin. Donations from community members will be greatly appreciated as well. These donations can be placed in the collection bin at the front of the school labelled ‘Community Drop Off’. For more information contact Jody Weaver at Dufur School.
The Dufur Food Pantry staff will be doing a "Farm to Family" food box distribution today in the school parking lot. They will be giving out 100 food boxes. It will begin at 4:30 pm and continue until 6:30 or until they run out of boxes. Please come if you are in need of food!
Dufur FFA will be selling Christmas Trees again this year! You can find us in the ag shop at Dufur school from 10am-2pm on Saturday, December 5th. We will have a variety of 5’-8’ Douglas and Noble Firs and will additionally be pre-selling trees this year, keep a lookout for the form if you would like to purchase a tree ahead of time. Supplies are limited and on a first come first serve basis. Thank you for your continuous support of Dufur FFA and we look forward to seeing you on the 5th from 10-2.

We plan to welcome students back to our building on Monday, November 30th. We ask that parents visit our website and review the information and guidelines from Mr. Henderson in our "News" section. We want to do everything we can to continue on-site learning and keep our community as safe as possible. As always, please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Because of the Thanksgiving Holiday the Dufur School Community Food Pantry will be open today. It will be open from 3 to 6 pm. All community members who are in need of food are welcome.
North Central Public Health District is offering free flu vaccines to anyone who wants one in Wasco, Sherman and Gilliam counties, regardless of whether they have insurance. Those who would like to receive a vaccine can call the health district at 541-506-2600 to schedule an appointment. The health district office is located at 419 E. 7th St. in The Dalles.
There will be a "Farm to Family" food distribution tomorrow from 10-noon in the school parking lot. All community members are welcome. The Dufur School/Community Food Pantry will be open tomorrow as well from 3-6 p.m.
