Students, are you considering golf as an activity this year or in the future? If so, you might want to sign up for the Golf Summer Camp at The Dalles Country Club! It will take place July 20, 27, Aug 3, 10, and 17.
Dufur School's on-line registration for the upcoming 2021-22 school year is now open. If you have a returning student or a new in-district student you may now register on-line. Access the registration through our website by clicking the "Student Registration" button or through your ParentVue account. Call 541-467-2509, ext. 204 or email beverson@dufur.k12.or.us if you have questions, or need a different registration option. The school office will be open reduced hours through the summer, so leave a message and we will get back to you.
WASCO COUNTY BANS PERSONAL FIREWORKS USE: Concerns for fire danger during upcoming July 4th holiday celebrations have resulted in Wasco County declaring an emergency ban on the use of personal fireworks effective immediately due to unprecedented weather and drought conditions.
There will be a School Board Meeting on Monday, June 28th at 6:00 p.m..
There will be a blood drive on Tuesday, June 29th at the Dufur Fire Hall. It is summer time but the school will still be providing lunch at Dufur Church through July 1st! Alice will be at the church from 11am to 12pm Monday through Thursday. If you would like a double lunch on Thursdays for Friday please let Alice know. If you miss her at the church please contact or come up to the school and we will get you your lunch.
We will also be offering weekly boxes. These boxes will be available for pick up starting next Tuesday June 15th from 4-6pm at Dufur School. You must sign up for these boxes and commit to picking them up. If you need a different pick up time we may be able to accommodate you. Please submit your requests to my email
lindsey.harvey@dufur.k12.or.us . If you want the food boxes please respond by Wednesday June 9th at Noon so we can get orders together.
Dufur High's first National Resources Career Day! Students explored various careers in which they would spend their days outside, applying science. A huge thank you to the NRCS, ODFW, NFS, and White River Wildlife Area.
Today the mid-level "A" group celebrated their last day of school with a beach-themed party full of sun and fun! The mid-level kids have made this such a great year, and we can't wait to do this all over again with the "B" group tomorrow on their last day!

The inaugural year of 4H Hydroponics was a resounding success!
Good Morning Families! Tomorrow, Wednesday, will be an "A" day. Thursday is an early release at 1:00 p.m. Thank you to everyone for making this year a success! Have a great summer.
Tomorrow, Saturday, May 28th, the class of 2021 graduation ceremony will be held on the football field at noon. Community members are welcome to attend, seating available will be the bleachers and you can bring your own chairs/blankets to sit in other areas. Immediately following the ceremony the 2021 graduates will begin a reverse parade through town beginning on Klinger Street, turning right down 1st street, right on main street, right on 5th street, and back to the school. The ceremony will also be live streamed through the Dufur School District Facebook page!
Graduation 2021! The stage is set, and they have rolled out the red carpet for tomorrow's ceremony. The class will graduate at noon on Saturday, May 29th. Congratulations graduates!
Congratulations to Dufur senior Zoe Hester for being accepted into the 2021 Ford Scholars Program! The Ford Family Foundation selects awardees who demonstrate an understanding of the value of education, work, taking responsibility, giving back, and helping others. Zoe will be pursuing a degree in nursing at Blue Mountain Community College this fall.
Baseball game time adjustment for tomorrow 5/22
Dufur vs Monroe 1:00 pm, Lakeview vs UVC 4:00 pm, winners play at 7:00 pm, all still at Philomath High School.
All Dufur basketball games will be live streamed from our Dufur School Facebook page this afternoon. Mid-level will start at 3:00 p.m., High School girls will start at 6:00 p.m., and High School boys will start at around 7:30 p.m.
The Jerri Walker DePriest Endowment Fund Board of Trustees had a great day interviewing 12 Dufur High School Seniors today for the 2021 JWD Scholarships. The class of 2021 will be awarded $ 63,403.52 in total, a new record! Thanks to all that support the program!
The Mid-level and Elementary "B" Groups will be attending school tomorrow, Wednesday, May 12th.
