Here are some great facts about school attendance!

We had a celebration assembly yesterday at Dufur School to acknowledge many great successes from the 1st quarter of the school year. At one point, Rangers were recognized who had 91% or better attendance during the 1st quarter! Out of 40 school days in the first quarter, 260 students have maintained 91% or higher days present. To recognize this accomplishment all 260 names were put in a bag (those with 100% attendance got two tickets) for a chance to win a prize in a drawing. Several dining gift cards were awarded and the grand prize was a $100 Amazon gift card! Congratulations to each student who achieved this attendance status and to their families who support them!
Parents, this is just a reminder that students need to have shoes at school that they use only for PE. The School District makes it a priority to keep our gym floors in great condition, and using the right shoes for PE and athletic events is a key to helping us meeting that challenge! If you have any questions, please contact the school at 541-467-2509.
Congratulation to The Dalles Cross Country team. The Boys finished 2nd and the Girls finished 3rd for the 4A State Championships. Rangers Ale Meza and Zeb Stelzer compete as part of The Dalles Cross Country team through a cooperative agreement between the two schools.

Yesterday's Veterans Day assembly was held at Dufur School to honor those in our community who have served. We appreciate the sacrifices made by American men and women in uniform, and wish them a happy Veterans Day on Monday.
