Recently, both third-grade classes participated in lessons about ancestors and family traditions. Students were invited to bring in important items to represent their families and ancestors. Since this time of year tends to offer more opportunities for families to gather, share stories, and make memories, we enjoyed this special opportunity and making connections with one another. This lesson was generously provided by the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde.

Mrs. Bales's 1st Grade class became Master Detectives and worked very hard to solve the case of the missing turkey. They had several tasks to complete while working cooperatively in small groups. Once each task was completed, they received a clue. Finally, they had to put all of these clues together and solve the case. It was so much fun!
