Many students were the guest speakers during this month's virtual Community of Practice meeting for Tribal History Shared History (a group of educators from the region who are passionate about teaching THSH)! They did a phenomenal job sharing about the history and importance of Powwows, styles of dances, their favorite parts of Powwow, what to expect for those who've never attended before, and etiquette. They greatly impressed the attendees with their knowledge, willingness to share their traditions and representing their community!
These students, and many more, have been working hard to plan the 1st annual Powwow at Dufur School! We hope you and your family will be able to attend the event on Friday, March 21st. A community meal will begin at 6:00pm and Grand Entry will be at 7:00pm.

They were joined by students from Maupin High School, Horizon Christian Academy, and Innovations Academy. The fair was a great event, and we are very thankful to Leona Egeland for organizing it for our students. We also want to express gratitude to the vendors and individuals who came to share their knowledge with our students!
