Shortt Photography will take photos for the Dufur Jr. High School Winter Sports Teams on Tuesday February 11th, 2025.

The site will then take you through the ordering process. Orders placed on or before Tuesday February 11th, will be dropped at the school for distribution and there is no charge for shipping. Orders placed after Tuesday February 11th will include shipping and will be mailed directly to your residence.

PSA from the Mid Columbia Umpires Association: They needed to reschedule their first of the season meeting to February 10th at 6:00 PM at the Bargeway Pub. This is a new rules and association meeting. If you might be possibly interested in umpiring high school softball or baseball you are welcome to attend to get yourself informed. The MCUA is looking for new and experienced softball and baseball umpires for the 2025 high school season. The association is extremely short on Softball umpires. Women are highly encouraged to join.
Training is provided for new umpires. There is an assistance program to help with the purchase of gear for new officials. There is also an assistance program for the purchase of equipment for Military Veterans. Join up and help provide a valuable service to high school athletics while making some extra money in the process. The season starts on March 17th and runs through mid May. Dufur’s Health Science Intro to Anatomy class performed dissections on fetal pigs to get a glimpse of the human organ systems and wrap up a unit on how autopsies are performed and can tell a story.
February is National CTE month. In recognition of CTE month, Dufur School's annual elementary CTE Fair will be held on Friday 2/21 in the lower gym. Please see the attached flyer for information.
The Dufur School District has openings on its school board this year. School leadership has a significant impact on student success. OSBA can help you get involved with information about the role and running for election. Filing deadline is March 20.

Due to the icy road conditions around Dufur, Dufur School will be operating on a two hour delay today , Friday Feb. 7.
Attention parents: We will only have high school practices this afternoon from 3:30-5. The high school girls will be in the lower gym. High school boys in the upper gym. The activity bus will leave at 5:10 today for after-school program students and athletes.
Don't forget it is senior night tomorrow during the games with Horizon Christian! We have a schedule update to share: We will start at 5:00 pm with 1/2 a JV Girls game, Varsity Girls begin at 6:00 pm and Varsity Boys at 7:30 pm. Seniors and their families will be recognized prior to both Varsity games!
The Junior High Basketball games scheduled for today, 2/6 in Dufur vs. Horizon Christian, have been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
The Rangers will be hosting Horizon Christian on Friday! Join us for JV & Varsity Basketball action, some great concessions and senior athlete recognition prior to both varsity games! Play begins with one half JV girls at 5:00 pm. followed by V Girls at 6 pm, followed by V Boys at 7:30 pm.
