We have become aware that some internet service in the Dufur area is down right now. Some teachers may have that service, so they might not be able to hold scheduled "Zoom" meetings currently. Students who have missed their meetings will be able to view recordings once internet service has been restored.

Due to the hazardous level of smoke in the area, all on-site learning has been cancelled for tomorrow, 9/14. There will no lunch delivery's and no after school programs as well. Staff members will be working from home, virtual learning will occur as scheduled.

Due to the hazardous air quality Wasco County Emergency Management and the Dufur Volunteer Fire Department will be distributing KN-95 masks in the Dufur School Parking lot from 5-8 pm today.

We still have lots of things in our Lost and Found from last year. All unclaimed items will be donated to charity at the end of next week. https://5il.co/knvd is a link to a short video showing all the lost and found. If you see something that belongs to your family just let us know, or come by and grab it!

REMINDER: There will be no lunch delivery on Monday, 9/7, due to the Labor Day holiday. Weekly boxes will be available on Tuesday, 9/8, as well as our daily lunch delivery. We are expanding our meal pickup options. If you have a weekly box, you will also be able to pick it up at the front entrance of the school on Tuesday (09/08/20), from 5:00-7:00pm. Dufur families, as we approach our start date, students should be checking their school emails. We have switched to Gmail, and the link to login to school email is on the homepage of the Dufur School website. Student email addresses and passwords remain the same; if you cannot remember this information, please contact the main office as soon as possible. Teachers have sent out invitations to join their individual Google Classrooms and students are encouraged to join those now. It is vital that all students be logged in and ready in Google Classroom before the first day of school on September 14th. Parents, please ensure that your current email address is on file in the main office. Parent Google Classroom monitoring invitations are being sent out to the addresses on file. Please check your spam or junk folders in case they are in there. Dufur School has staff members trained to help parents and students who need help getting logged in and ready for the first day of online distance learning. Please reach out right away if you need assistance so that your child is in and familiar with their Google Classrooms on the first day of school.
