While the 6th and 8th graders were at the creek, Mrs. Darden took the 7th graders out to Friend, Oregon. They visited the old Friend Schoolhouse and explored the old Kingsley Catholic Cemetery between Friend and Dufur.




On Wednesdays, Dufur School mid-level students get exciting enrichment opportunities. Today, the 6th and 8th graders went to Fifteenmile Creek on Dufur School's property and did a stream study. The kids had a great time going out into nature while also doing math and science at the same time.




With the addition of Mid-Level students to the bus routes, this is a reminder to Elementary parents that students in grades K-5 will be released from school each day at 1:50 PM for bus boarding and parent pickup.
Don't forget that school will not be in session tomorrow for students or staff! Have a great weekend.
The Dufur High School National Honor Society inducted new members last night in a beautiful ceremony on the football field. Congratulations, inductees!
We are looking forward to welcoming our mid-level and high school students back for in-person learning. Please see the attached letter from Mr. Henderson for times and dates of their return.
Dufur School will welcome back mid-level students to hybrid on-site learning beginning on Monday October 12. Each class has been split in to an A and B group, the A group will be on campus Mon, Tues, & Wed, the B group on Thurs. and Fri. next week. The groups will alternate being on campus on Wed.

Life flight will be landing at Dufur School shortly, the need is not for the school, it's for a neighboring community.

The ASB Student Council is having a pop can drive in the city of Dufur. If you would like to arrange a pickup for your cans, which will happen on Monday, October 5th, please contact Kristin Whitley by this Friday, October 2nd.

Thanks to all for a great start to the 20-21 school year! Two adjustments to announce for next week.
1. Fourth and Fifth grades will be added to the on site schedule in the same hybrid format used for the K-3. Teachers will provide specific information for families.
2. Wednesdays will become an on site learning day for K-5. The A and B groups will rotate being on site on Wednesdays.
Next week, Sept. 28-Oct. 2 the A group will be on site on Mon., Tues., & Wed., The B group Thurs., & Fri. The following week will be A's on Mon. & Tues., B's on Wed., TH., & Fri. The rotation will be every other week on Wednesday.
