Why is it important to keep our attendance average above 91%?
The Oregon Department of Education sets 90% as the threshold for chronic absenteeism. That means students attending less than 90% of the time are considered chronically absent. We aim to stay above that mark — and here's why attendance matters:
Students who attend regularly are more likely to stay on grade level.
They build stronger relationships with peers and staff.
They stay engaged, motivated, and develop consistent learning habits.
Regular attendance supports better academic outcomes and higher graduation rates.
We’re proud to share that every grade level maintained an attendance average above 91% for the month of September!
Way to go, Rangers! Let’s keep up the momentum!
