Dufur School is proud to share strong gains in key student success indicators over the past year. Regular attendance increased by five percent, while the percentage of freshmen on track to graduate rose from 72% to 79%. On-time graduation jumped an impressive 19%, and post-secondary enrollment climbed from 50% to 77%. These outcomes reflect the collective commitment of our students, staff, and families to high expectations and meaningful opportunities for every learner.

While we are encouraged by this progress, there is important work ahead to ensure at least 90% of our students are meeting benchmarks in attendance and on-track graduation status (a 9th grade benchmark). This year, we implemented a Building Leadership Team that closely monitors attendance trends and essential skills performance in reading and math, allowing us to respond earlier and more intentionally when students need support. This team is focused on using data to guide instruction, interventions, and systems that benefit all learners. A deeper analysis of our 2024–2025 state assessment results will be shared in my January letter, along with next steps to continue strengthening student outcomes across the district.
