Mrs. Kelly Darden
Hello, my name is Kelly Darden and I grew up in Salem, Oregon and attended McKay High School. I love teaching and I love sports! After high school, I played volleyball for the University Nevada-Reno, and following my final season, I transferred to the University of Oregon where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. I began my teaching career in 1991, teaching Physical Education at Dry Hollow Elementary, in The Dalles. It was here that I also began my coaching career, coaching volleyball, basketball and tennis for The Dalles School District. In 1992 I received my Elementary teaching license from WOU and I began teaching 5th grade at Dufur School. This is also when I began coaching high school volleyball for the Lady Rangers. I was privileged to coach some of the best athletes here at Dufur for 24 years, and I believe that the court is one of the best classrooms for teaching kids about life! GO RANGERS!
Over the years I have taught 5th grade, Physical Education, Computer Applications and Social Studies. I absolutely love my job and all the amazing kids here at Dufur School.
