GUESTS and PUBLIC COMMENT
The public comment agenda item provides an opportunity for constituents to address the Dufur School District Board of Education. The Chair will call on individuals who have signed up to provide comment. When your name is called be seated at the designated table and state your name. Speakers may offer objective criticism of District operation and programs, but the Board will not hear complaints concerning individual district personnel. Hard copies of policy BDDH Public Participation in Meetings and Policy KL Public Complaints are available on the table and at www.dufur.k12.or.us . Undue interruption or other interference with the orderly conduct of Board business cannot be allowed. Defamatory or abusive remarks are always out of order. The Board Chair may terminate a speaker’s privilege of address if, after being called to order, the speaker persists in improper conduct or remarks. Each presenter will have a maximum of three minutes to speak. All comments should be directed to the Board Chair.
Items of a non-controversial and/or routine nature are placed on the consent agenda to allow the Board to spend time on more significant issues. Any Board member may request that an item be considered separately.
